The materials in Boxes 1-5 consist of files created by Prof. Joseph Fischer while he chaired the IDS Department, 1994-1997, and donated by Prof. Fischer in 2008. They are supplemented by an "Introduction to the M.Ed. Field Based Program: Philosophy, Structure & Processes" (1984) and "Handbook for Term 1" (1984), donated by Prof. Fletcher DuBois in 2011.

Memoranda from departments throughout the university and discussing topics ranging from parking problems to strategic planning.

Photographic negatives taken by the Nickerson Photo Company for the National College of Education.  This company took many of the photographs during the 1960's and 1970's that the school used for publications and promotional materials.

All original negative envelopes were marked with "Posted."

Photographs National-Louis University students, faculty alumni and staff involved in various activities related to the university as well as portraits of individuals.  Some of the activities include theater productions, alumni events, athletics, student academic and non-academic activities, college class work, faculty/staff business, commencement photographs, trustee events and special events for speakers or performances.

Contains memos, correspondence, calendars, and meeting minutes pertaining Faculty Senate and the Faculty Association. Also includes the bylaws and constitution of the faculty association, and revisions made to the document.

Geared towards alumnae and faculty, The National Magazine contains news and educational articles. Formerly known as the Alumnae News, Kindergarten Journal, News-Bulletin, Our Guidon, and NCE News, the publication became The National Magazine in 1973.
