Montessori Instructional Manipulatives

Scope and Contents

Instructional tools designed by Maria Montessori for her Montessori Education Method.  Includes a partial Broad Stair, a partial Pink Tower, several lacing frames, a partial Narrow Stair (Counting Rods), counting sticks, wood tiles, a box of colored silk spools, shakers, Cylinder Blocks, a Geometric Cabinet and a Fabric Cabinet.

Tea House

Model tea house in the Japanese Style. The house has two stories and is complete with a porch and roof.  Provenance is unknown but might have been purchased by university faculty during trips to Japan in the 1930's to visit Japanese Kindergartens.
